ABHE Accreditation Renewal

ABHE Accreditation Renewal

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, The Association for Biblical Higher Education announced that ILT has received reaffirmation of accreditation. This means that ILT has received 10-year accreditation from ABHE. The accreditation process includes assessment and self-study, a visit by an ABHE team, and review from the Commission on Accreditation. ILT has now completed this process with ABHE three times.

President Dennis Bielfeldt, Executive Vice President Leon Miles, and Research Fellow Daniel Hackmann attended the 76th Annual ABHE meeting, where ILT’s reaffirmation was announced. The leadership of ABHE continue to praise the work which ILT is doing to raise up Christians and train pastors for ministry.

We would like to thank all our Board of Directors, Faculty, Staff and Students who worked diligently to make sure this reaffirmation was a success. ABHE accreditation speaks to ILT’s overall dedication to academic principles and best practice. ILT is committed to providing a rigorous education founded on Scripture and informed by the Lutheran theological tradition. Accreditation is just one part of that overall commitment.

If you have any questions about ABHE or ATS accreditation, please contact Leon Miles by emailing him at lmiles@ilt.edu.
