ILT is raising up the next generation of Christian Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople!

You may have thought that ILT was only about raising up new pastors and teachers for the church, but ILT is so much more. The mission of ILT is to preserve, promote, and propagate the classical Christian tradition from a Lutheran perspective. A critical element of that mission is preserving, promoting, and propagating the understanding that all of us are called (vocation) to serve God in every part of our lives. As Martin Luther wrote, “Likewise also prince or sovereign, judge, civil servant, chancellor, notary, laborers, maids, and all such servants—all obedient subjects—everything is sheer holy place and a holy life before God.” The world today is a very different place from what it was just a couple years ago. Lockdowns, skyrocketing inflation, and many of our cherished institutions under assault all lead us to wonder what’s next. How can we equip our young people for their future? How can we afford it? How can we give the next generation a firm foundation for their future in a world of constantly shifting sands? ILT’s Entrepreneurial Studies degree program offers students a foundation in business and creative thinking in business-related ventures. It is designed not only to help students to learn about business finance and strategy, but also to prepare students to undertake their vocation in work, family, and community as the sacred calling from God that it is.
